One of Sardinia’s best-known beaches, Li Cossi is a stunning and evocative little corner, distinctive for its location in a bay protected from the wind, enclosed between the rocks and pink trachyte cliffs that tower over the deep green sea. Its shallow, sloping seabed makes it particularly suitable for children. The beach takes its name from the Li Cossi stream that crosses it, creating a little pond behind it. The multi-coloured depths, swarming with fish and highly spectacular in some areas, are very popular with diving and snorkelling enthusiasts.
Directions
Take the SP 200 road, following the turn-off towards Costa Paradiso, after km 32, until the car park. The beach can be accessed on foot using a path that is around half a kilometre in length.
Information
Facilities include a large car park, a campsite, hotel, bar and restaurants; it is also possible to hire beach umbrellas, loungers, pedalos and boats.
